Centreville Preschool offers a warm and caring environment. It is located in a quaint historic home that allows for a wonderful transition from home to school. My daughter thrived socially, emotionally and academically in their play centered educational program. The teachers are wonderful and the co-op experience is amazing, offering the parent a first hand view at your child’s educational experience. The friendships forged at Centreville Preschool will last a lifetime.

Amazing program with many dedicated professionals and volunteers! We love how the teachers work with the children and take time with them in easing them into the routine of “school”. Education is amazing and the outdoor play areas are absolutely beautiful and stimulating for the kids. We LOVE the coop program where we have an opportunity to help out in our child’s classroom! We would definitely recommend!

I have one child attending a cooperative class now during the current school year, and starting with the next school year, I will have two children attending.
I find the parents’ handbook very thorough. I managed to come up with a few questions to ask the teachers anyway, and they were helpful and happy to answer. Both the paid staff and parent volunteers are friendly and flexible. Several teachers have over 20 years of experience working with preschool-aged children. All the adults that serve in one capacity or another with the school truly enjoy children. Communications via phone, email, and mail to get in touch with various staff, committee members, and board members are always responded to in a timely manner.

As a co-oping parent, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in my child’s classroom. (There are options for non-cooperative placement too if a parent chooses to place his or her child with the school and does not want to commit to the cooperative duties) The children are happy to be there. The environment is relaxed enough to allow a child who may be a bit more reserved to have space to join in at their own pace, stimulating enough that the most energetic are engaged, and structured enough that the children know what to expect in regards to schedule and behavior. I’ve not seen more than a verbal reminder need to be employed to keep children respectful of themselves, the teacher, and the other children.
My child looks forward to attending every class and has grown very attached to her teachers and classmates.
